Keeping what's yours, yours.
PrivoHub is a small, independent European service giving your photos, files and passwords a private home. Hosted in the EU, built on open-source software, and paid for by the people who use it, not by advertisers or investors.
From a homelab to a home for everyone.
Like a lot of people who care about their data, we ran our own services rather than hand our photos, files and passwords to platforms that treat them as fuel for advertising.
Running the apps was the easy part. Running them properly was not. PrivoHub is what happened when we realised that the expensive part is something many households can share.

Photos, Drive and Vault first ran on our own hardware, for an audience of one. It worked, and it showed us exactly why most people never get to have this.
- 02The hidden cost
Doing it properly means redundant disks, off-site backups, monitoring and updates. For one household that is far more hardware and time than the data justifies.
- 03Shared, kept separate
Almost all of that cost is fixed, so we pooled it: one professionally run platform shared by many households, with every workspace kept strictly apart.
A few things we will never trade away.
Most services see your photos and files as an asset to mine. We see them for what they are: your life. These are the rules we built PrivoHub around.
Your data is not the product
We make money one way: your subscription. No ads, no data sales, no training AI on your photos. Our business only works if we keep your trust.
Open source, in public
Photos runs on Immich, Drive on OpenCloud and Vault on Vaultwarden. Our changes to them are published on GitHub, so you never have to take our word for it.
EU soil, EU law
Everything lives in data centres inside the European Union. GDPR applies by default, and the US CLOUD Act does not reach us.
Separate by design
Every workspace gets its own storage, its own database and its own Photos and Drive servers. We share the hardware, never your data.
Fair prices, thin margins
No investors to keep happy, no growth-at-all-costs targets. Prices cover the servers, backups and a small margin, and we will tell you clearly before anything changes.
Easy to leave
Export everything in original quality and standard formats whenever you like. We would rather keep you because you are happy than because leaving is hard.
Great software, run properly.
We did not reinvent the photo library or the password manager. Excellent open-source projects already exist; what most people lack is the time and hardware to run them well. That is the part we take on: hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and support.
Automatic backup, face and place search, shared albums.
Files, two-way desktop sync and editing in your browser.
A password manager that works with the Bitwarden apps.
We are grateful to the people behind these projects. Our changes are public on GitHub, and every component we use is listed on the open-source licenses page.
